Our Story
Justin Duty
Formed in central Oklahoma in 2023, Justus & The Hometown Revival has exploded on the music scene. Described as Americana, Red Dirt, and Alt. Folk. They bring together a unique sound, applying a folk and classical playing style to the wide variety of original songs written by founder and front man Justin Duty.
Paton Southerland
Music inspired by everyone from Leonard Cohen and Tom Waits, to Jason Boland and Mississippi John Hurt. They capture the grit of blue collar life on the plains, overlaid with soothing violin provided by the band’s second member, Paton Southerland. Classically trained in his craft from the age of 7. Paton is just as comfortable with Bach and Vivaldi, as he is jumping into an on stage song improv, or impromptu jam. Which they are known to do.
Abigail Southerland
Their sound is graced with backup vocals by Abigail Southerland, adding a feminine touch to group. As a musical aficionado, you will find her playing anything from a Cajon, and various percussion instruments. To playing ukulele, or keys.
Jacob McKnight
Groomed and seasoned in the Oklahoma Red Dirt music scene. You’ll find the fourth member, Jacob McKnight on bass. Also likely to find him on guitar, mandolin, or anything else they can drag up. Together they form a flexible and unique sound with tones of blues, jazz, gypsy and folk. Or, as they simply call it “Oklahoma Music”.
Jeremy Reed
Filling in the sound on lead guitar and mandolin is Jeremy Reed. Also playing from the age of 7, Jeremy brings musical energy to the sound. Influenced by B.B King, John Mayer, and Chet Atkins he is bound to dazzle you, you also may have seen him playing the Oklahoma Opry.
